Surprise yourself at least once a day. Start with that. It’s not a lot to ask. Break a pattern. Do something out of the ordinary.
Couples therapy today at 10:00. Things are OK, but not great. How to describe it... when it's good, it's like having an ‘All Access’ pass: I’m on the inside and everything is cool. Then something changes - it's not always clear what - and the pass is revoked. I tell the security guard "But that's my wife - we're married", and he says "Sorry, sir. If you don't have the pass I can't let you in".
