When presented with a composing assignment, it's not my instinct to immediately jump in and start creating. I usually do some research first. Listen to some things. Watch some things. Which is not a bad approach, unless you get stuck in that phase. Which does happen to me from time to time. So today I'm just going to plug in a guitar and make some noise. Enter into the unknown. See where that gets me.
