It wasn't easy

Dear Steve,

Hi... I really don't know what to say because I'm kind of embarrassed about writing to you. I know the first thing you are going to wonder is where I got your address. Well, it wasn't easy. I called information and asked for a listing under your name. They wouldn't give me your address so I kept calling different operators until I found one that would. I was going to call but I felt hesitant because I don't want you to think I'm some little "groupie" who just hangs around and tries to pick up on every band. 

I hope you're not mad that I got your address.

Tomorrow I'm going to see Split Enz in Santa Cruz, then next Wednesday and Thursday I'm going to see The Ramones. Wowee, huh?

Well, I had better send this letter. I guess I'll see you in September when you guys play here again. Write back if you have time, OK?
