Pursuit

Beer played a central role in my high school experience. Weekends were focused on finding parties that had beer, or, if there were no parties, finding some way of getting beer. Much time and energy were expended in these pursuits.

The first time I tried beer I hated it, but I drank it anyway. Not drinking beer in high school because you didn't like the taste would be like wearing a t-shirt that said "I'm a loser, please spill your drink on me".
