Where I'm trying to go

i feel like i've gotten into a routine of posting stuff that's not challenging me. there's no growth in sharing a happy father's day card and writing "happy father's day". there's nothing wrong with it, but it's not getting me where i'm trying to go. i need to dig in more. take chances. which means more nights in the basement scavenging through old notebooks and wrestling with my ego when i could be watching a movie with my wife, or having a conversation with my daughter, or playing music with my son.

sounds like a lot of fun. i'll get right on it.
