In the lobby
JOURNAL :: SEPTEMBER, 2017
In the lobby. The movie is playing, but I had to take a break. I've probably seen it a dozen times now. It doesn't get any easier to watch.
The only other person in the lobby is the woman at the concession stand, who has her back to me. She's talking on her phone: "Everyone wants me to be well, but I'm not. I'm not well." I was going to get some popcorn, but I don't want to interrupt her conversation. It is her job to sell snacks, and there's no one else I can ask, but still...
I'll go to the bathroom - if she's off the phone when I get back, I'll order popcorn. If she's not, I won't.
